Historically, it has been established that mass distorts spacetime, a concept proven by Arthur Eddington in 1919. Alcubierre’s proposal involves a meticulously crafted ultra-thin shell of material, reminiscent of an eggshell, that preserves spacetime stability inside the bubble while distorting it externally to produce the desired warp effect. While mass is fundamentally prohibited from accelerating past the speed of light, the ingenious design of the warp bubble suggests that the confined area—with its passengers—could theoretically travel at arbitrary speeds.
