Sacramento as a No-Go
When the Sacramento plans were first unveiled, it was done with uncertainty regarding postseason games. The commissioner and other spokespeople were visibly apprehensive, knowing the complications that accompany hosting playoff games with limited attendance. Even amid optimism earlier in the season, with the A’s being just one game back from the AL West lead, their performance has since declined drastically.
The implication is clear: the A's would need an alternative venue close to home for any potential playoff games. While locations like San Francisco, Los Angeles, or even Seattle have been cited as possibilities, the reality remains that the A's will not play in Sacramento for any critical playoff matchups.
