COVID-19 altered how individuals perceive time itself. The trauma of the crisis often felt like a blur, stripped of routines and familiar milestones. The resulting sense of disorientation complicates recall and affects memory, leaving many struggling with their sense of time in a post-pandemic world.
Relational Ruptures and Social Isolation
Contrary to the notion that lockdowns would bring people closer, COVID-19 fostered significant social divides. The crisis ruptured human connections, leading to loneliness and detachment. As social beings, humans rely on relationships for emotional sustenance, and the loss of those connections during the pandemic created long-term psychological ramifications that must be addressed collectively.
