The realities of job expectations vs. dating desires highlight an inherent inconsistency. With jobs, one is often lucky to fulfill two out of three desirable attributes. Yet, in relationships, individuals pursue multiple, often contradictory, demands. This unrealistic desire for a so-called “unicorn” partner leads to dissatisfaction and continued loneliness.
