Some Tesla marketing hints at a future where these vehicles could be summoned, hailed, or ordered seamlessly, thus transforming Tesla cars into living assets that generate income when not personally used. Elon Musk has notably stated that Tesla's supervised self-driving (FSD) is the only robotaxi you can currently buy, capable of operating across North America and certain other regions. The impact of these features on overall demand, however, may be more gradual, especially considering that robo taxi services are still in their infancy, primarily limited to demo regions like Austin.
