Part 6/13:
A paradox emerges: women report high levels of satisfaction with their independence, yet data on depression and mental health paint a more troubling picture. Roughly half of liberal women are on antidepressants, an indication that despite perceived autonomy, dissatisfaction and emotional struggles persist. This disconnect suggests that material success and independence do not necessarily equate to personal fulfillment or happiness.
Some participants emphasize that the pursuit of careers and independence has resulted in a generation of women who have effectively "turned into men," losing traditional markers of femininity and social roles. This transformation has contributed to a shrinking pool of men interested in committed relationships, further deepening the crisis.
