Part 10/12:
An underlying theme in this discourse is the role of media narratives. Mainstream outlets are often reticent to confront powerful corporate interests like private equity or to challenge the entrenched economic system. Conservative outlets and personalities, however, are increasingly voicing concerns about market manipulation.
Interestingly, media figures on both ends are starting to acknowledge the same core problems—an evolution that suggests the issue has moved from fringe commentary to mainstream political debate.
Moreover, the molehill disclosures by right-wing populists—such as Carlson and Kirk—serve to legitimize the concerns of their audiences, even if their ultimate policy proposals are opaque or opportunistic.
