The storyline is riddled with contradictions and storytelling missteps. Skeletor, once the quintessential villain, unexpectedly gives up his power voluntarily—because Evil-Lyn convinces him that she is the true master of the universe and can wield the power better. This leads to a bizarre sequence where Evil-Lyn and Skeletor get intimate, with suggestive dialogue and even visual cues that imply a deeper, perhaps inappropriate, connection.
Furthermore, Evil-Lyn's backstory is laughable—her parents are depicted as starving and attempting to eat her with a knife and fork before she escapes to the sewers, where Skeletor finds her. Her origins seem to be tacked on for shock value rather than logical development, undermining her character's credibility.
