Dark Horse Comics was the original publisher of Star Wars comics from 1991 until 2014, a period during which the company crafted some of the franchise’s most iconic stories, including Dark Empire, Knights of the Old Republic, and many others that helped expand the universe beyond the films. Their work played a crucial role in developing what was then called the Expanded Universe, a vast array of novels, comics, and other media that enriched fans’ understanding of Star Wars lore.
