Part 9/10:
On a scale of 1 to 10, the show scores roughly a 3. It has some minor positives—like certain visual effects and performances—but these are vastly overshadowed by miscasting, errant characterizations, and an overall sense of budget-cut fanfic. The series’ attempt to overhaul beloved characters and narratives results in a product that feels disconnected from the source material.
For fans of Cowboy Bebop, this adaptation is less a tribute and more a travesty. Neon’s message is clear: "Kill it with fire." As it stands, the series is unlikely to satisfy even casual viewers expecting a faithful adaptation and is best avoided until Netflix and the creative team make significant changes—or abandon it altogether.
