Given the history and the apparent direction of the show, many long-time fans are cautiously pessimistic. The suspicion is that, despite the visual appeal, the narrative will be similar to Season 1—action-packed at the end but missing the core essence that made the original series beloved. The split release of Part 2 is also seen as a mistake, allowing the damage from Part 1 to remain unaddressed, and potentially worsening fan disillusionment.
Furthermore, the release of another He-Man series amid Revelation’s rollout—one that more closely aligned with traditional storytelling—added to the frustration. Fans appreciated that alternative series for its more authentic He-Man experience, making the current series' direction seem even more misguided.
