TSR: The Origins and the Modern Resurgence
To contextualize, TSR was the original company that created Dungeons & Dragons in the 1970s, under the stewardship of Gary Gygax. After Wizards of the Coast's acquisition of TSR in the late 1990s, the TSR brand largely disappeared, replaced by "D&D" under WOTC. Years later, the TSR trademark was bought by a different owner, who was involved in creating new products like Top Secret. However, that owner foolishly allowed the trademark to lapse, opening the door for others to secure it anew.
