Part 3/13:
Recently, reports surfaced that Action Labs had ceased paying creators, with some projects left halted or "held hostage," including finished books that were not reaching readers or paying creators their due royalties. Rumors indicated that some creators had their works printed but failed to receive payment, and in some cases, had their rights frozen or books refused press.
One egregious example involved a lawsuit over Zombie, a creator-owned project, where the creator, Dan Mendoza, sued Action Labs for alleged contractual breaches. Thankfully, this suit was settled, with reports suggesting Mendoza either received his rights back or a settlement paid to him. But the turmoil stretched far beyond this single case, revealing a pattern of mismanagement.
