Furthermore, the post-credits scenes were underwhelming, mostly featuring Captain Marvel and Bruce Banner discussing the mysterious rings, with little impactful plot development. The final scene hints at Shang-Chi’s sister taking over her father’s business, setting up potential future stories but failing to add any real excitement or surprise.
The film also included some uncomfortable or cringeworthy moments, such as identity-based gender role commentary and the portrayal of female characters in a somewhat heavy-handed manner. Nonetheless, the film avoided blatant "women power" tropes, focusing instead on personal growth and legacy.
