When "who you know" and political loyalty determine job prospects more than skill, industry creatives lose their incentive to innovate or speak freely.
Furthermore, honest critics and outsiders are essentially censored from participating in the conversation. As careers are destroyed based on accusations—often absent evidence—the industry is becoming a monoculture, vulnerable to ideological rigidity.
