A significant part of Kenrikus's critique focused on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Despite promising to recognize Israel, hold elections, and end the notorious 'pay-for-slay' policies—where the Palestinian Authority pays terrorists’ families—Kenrikus pointed out that Abbas has repeatedly failed to follow through.
"Abbas has had multiple opportunities to recognize Israel and end conflict, yet he refused," Kenrikus said. Moreover, Abbas has not held elections in the Palestinian territories for nearly 20 years, mainly due to fears of losing power or being challenged by Hamas, which is increasingly dominant.
