Part 7/13:
Scholars like Samuel Huntington predicted this shift decades ago, foreseeing the rise of core states—powerful civilizations that shape regional and global dynamics. These states prioritise their traditional identities, religious values, and national interests over Western-style liberalism or economic uniformity.
The new world order will be characterized by civilizational self-containment, with negotiation and power politics conducted primarily between these core states. Smaller nations will have diminished influence in global negotiations, which will be driven by the major civilizational players. Europe, for example, is increasingly sidelined from these high-level discussions, especially with the United States and Russia focusing on their strategic interests.
