Part 2/10:
Governors across key states are reconfiguring congressional maps in favor of Republicans. Missouri's newly sworn-in Governor Mike Parson announced a special session to redraw the state's congressional district boundaries. The impact? Democrat Emanuel Cleaver's district is set to be drastically reshaped, reducing Democratic seats from six to just two, and moving toward a new configuration with seven Republican and only one Democrat seat.
Florida is also joining this wave. Governor Ron DeSantis plans to introduce a new redistricting map that increases Republican seats by five, ensuring a stronger GOP presence in the state’s congressional delegation. Texas’s Governor Greg Abbott signed into law the addition of five new Republican seats, cementing Texas's shift to a deeper red.
