As one commentator pointed out, "The future of that region is not going to be decided by some UN resolution or by the words of a prime minister or president." Instead, real change depends on concrete, on-the-ground actions. These hollow declarations are often made for internal political reasons, designed to satisfy domestic constituencies rather than to achieve meaningful progress.
