The Georgian government, led by the conservative Georgia Dream party, enacted a controversial law requiring organizations that receive more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register as “foreign influence agents.” This echoes similar legislation passed earlier by Russia, effectively nullifying Soros's NGOs within these borders.
