In a decisive move towards restoring safety in the nation's capital, the Trump administration launched a substantial law enforcement surge last night, deploying approximately 850 officers and agents across Washington, D.C. This operation resulted in 23 arrests, along with numerous additional contacts and detentions. The arrests targeted a range of serious offenses, including homicide, firearms offenses, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, fare evasion, lewd acts, stalking, possession of high-capacity magazines, fleeing from law enforcement in a vehicle, driving without permits, driving under the influence, reckless driving, and bench warrants.
