However, these vital components are largely absent in digital interactions. Video calls and social media do not offer the same sensory and emotional feedback as physical presence. As a result, social media users often miss out on the oxytocin-boosting experiences that reinforce genuine bonds, leading to a cycle of craving connection but unable to fully attain it through screens.
