One such is the firewall paradox: if information is stored on the horizon, then an observer crossing this boundary might encounter a "firewall"—a zone of high-energy particles that destroys anything trying to pass through. This starkly contradicts the predictions of general relativity, which states that an in-falling observer should experience nothing unusual at the event horizon.
