To reconcile these conflicting ideas, physicists have turned to quantum entanglement—a phenomenon where particles become correlated such that measuring one immediately informs you about the other, regardless of distance. Some theories suggest that entangled particles could be linked via microscopic wormholes, called ER=EPR (named after Einstein-Rosen bridges and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen entanglement).
