The law's ultimate commandment is love—loving God with heart, soul, and mind, and loving neighbor as oneself. True freedom, therefore, involves the pursuit of virtue rooted in love and faith, aligning human desires with divine purpose.
The Golden Triangle of Freedom
Concluding his reflection, Dr. Steve introduces what he calls the Golden Triangle of Freedom: freedom, virtue, and faith are interconnected and mutually reinforcing. Genuine liberty requires self-control and moral discipline fostered by faith; virtue arises from faith; and authentic faith is rooted in the freedom to choose rightly.
