One of the most significant developments in Texas politics recently has been the contentious process of redistricting. As the state redraws its congressional map, there is a push to create more conservative districts, reflecting the state's shifting political ideologies. Yet, this redistricting also introduces new seat configurations that include a Latino district and an African-American district, ostensibly to enhance representation for minority communities.
