Another promising arm is Felipe de la Cruz. Having not been a highly heralded prospect initially, De la Cruz’s recent exploits have turned heads. Recently called up from Jacksonville, he pitched six scoreless innings, striking out nine batters and earning international pitcher of the week honors. His fastball velocity mid-90s, combined with a solid slider, makes him a compelling option as a reliever or even a future starter.
