Part 5/11:

A recent paper offers an intriguing approach to this problem. The authors propose that space is filled with quantum information carriers, specifically tiny quantum bits (qubits) endowed with spin—a quantum property that can be visualized as tiny arrows pointing in certain directions. This concept builds on the “it from qubit” philosophy, which posits that everything—including spacetime—is fundamentally quantum informational.

According to this new model, when a mass is present in this qubit-rich environment, it causes the spins to slightly align around it. This alignment represents a more ordered, low-entropy state. Conversely, when multiple masses are nearby, the volume in which the spins are aligned decreases overall, leading to an overall increase in entropy.
