According to available reports, the Andrews resided in Arlington Heights, but their disappearance remains unresolved. The couple was last seen on the night of May 15, 1970, after leaving a cocktail party at the Sheraton Hotel located at 505 Michigan Avenue.
On that night, Edward Andrews was reportedly ill, having recently crashed into a parking garage door. Witnesses suggest that he may have been disoriented and possibly drove into the Chicago River somewhere near the location, specifically southbound in the northbound lanes of the city's streets—raising suspicion that their vehicle might have entered the water.
