Paul Lacovara’s journey began quite unexpectedly. While studying sociology and anthropology at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he had no initial intentions of becoming a stuntman. His entry was accidental but immediate. An opportunity arose when a friend asked if he wanted to be in a movie, leading him to an extra role on We Were Soldiers. That gig introduced him to the world of film stunts—firing guns, riding in helicopters, and performing a variety of action scenes. His first stunt occurred during this debut, and from that moment, he knew he had found his calling.
