Part 3/11:
Law enforcement authorities recovered a bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel from a wooded area near the campus, along with ammunition including one spent round and three unfired cartridges. DNA analysis confirmed the presence of Tyler James Robinson’s genetic material on the trigger of the weapon, and forensic examination of the towel and rifle parts supported the suspect’s involvement.
Surveillance footage revealed that the suspect entered campus from the north at approximately 11:51 a.m., dressed in distinctive clothing and exhibiting behaviors consistent with concealing a firearm. Post-shooting, the suspect was seen running with the rifle, dropping and then retrieving it, before disappearing into a wooded area.
