Dana Ross, a representative from the Morton Arboretum, joined Chicago Live recently to discuss this popular event. She shared that Tails on Trails has experienced significant growth over the years, especially in recent times when outdoor activities have become more valued. Originally a well-loved event, it has gained even more popularity as people seek safe, nature-based outlets beyond the city limits.
"People are eager to get outside and out of the city. The Arboretum provides a perfect landscape for this," Dana explained. Though the event has been around for over ten years, its recent expansion reflects a rising interest in outdoor, dog-friendly events.
