Empowering Citizens and Building Confidence
One of the most critical issues was restoring citizen confidence in data governance. Policymakers and organizations must ensure transparency, allow data access and deletion requests, and create opt-in mechanisms to foster trust. As the law empowers individuals with rights over their data—including the right to request information and deletion—the Government’s role in safeguarding these rights becomes pivotal.
