Har Prasad emphasized that while broadband as a concept is relatively new, the telecom industry in India has been longstanding. The explosion in data consumption over the past five to seven years, fueled by 4G and 5G technologies, has drastically increased both speed and reliability expectations among consumers.
Today's consumers demand services that are faster, more reliable, and seamless. The transformation is notable; for instance, while earlier generations waited years for landline connections, now connectivity issues that cannot be resolved within an hour can cause significant dissatisfaction. The industry must adapt swiftly to these heightened expectations.
