Part 3/12:
Traditionally, organizations treated data as a utility—a backend resource used primarily for operational or reporting needs. Today, however, there is a paradigm shift towards viewing data as a strategic asset capable of generating revenue through monetization and value creation. This shift is akin to comparing raw water from a well, which must be filtered and processed, to packaged drinking water, which is clean, ready-to-consume, and governed by clear ownership. Converting raw data into “trustworthy, ready-to-use” products involves establishing ownership, governance, and quality standards.
