Ecosystem Maturity and What’s Missing in India
Sedat highlighted that India's ecosystem, while rapidly developing, still lags behind the United States in terms of capital, talent density, and infrastructure. Nonetheless, he pointed out that India’s digital economy and services sector have demonstrated the capacity to adapt solutions for both domestic and global markets.
The key challenges identified are higher capital requirements, longer timelines, and a need for sustained risk-taking culture within Indian entrepreneurship. He stressed that support systems must foster entrepreneurial risk-taking—creating a safe environment where failure is viewed as part of the innovation journey, akin to the Silicon Valley ethos.
