Gori Shankar emphasized India’s unique advantage rooted in its extensive IT services industry, which has the potential to become a global innovation hub. For this to materialize, coordinated efforts are necessary—building talent pools, strengthening funding channels, streamlining regulations, and fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Saurovand others highlighted successful examples like UPI and account aggregation, illustrating India’s capacity for large-scale public-private collaborations. Still, many agreed that ecosystems in the US and China currently outperform India in terms of holistic support for innovation.
