Recently, Axios reported that within the Democratic Party, at least three prominent figures might consider running against Federman in a primary if he chooses to run again in 2028. These include Congressman Brendan Bole, Congressman Chris Duzio, and former Congressman Connor Lamb—who notably lost a Democratic primary to Federman in 2022, partly because voters viewed Lamb as too moderate, preferring Federman’s more liberal stance.
