Moreover, historical biases embedded in data—like Amazon's famed hiring algorithm that discriminated against women—serve as cautionary tales. They demonstrate that AI systems are only as good as the data fed into them. Hence, leadership’s responsibility extends beyond strategy to ensuring data inclusion and fairness.
