NBC News has made the significant decision to eliminate its specialized teams dedicated to covering issues pertaining to Black, Asian-American, Latino, and LGBTQ+ communities. These divisions—namely NBC BLK, NBC Latino, NBC Asian, and NBC Out—were designed to deliver targeted content, seemingly committed to representing diverse voices. However, with about 150 staffers affected in layoffs around mid-October, the network is clearly shifting its approach.
