Part 8/16:

Beyond crocodilians, the aquatic biodiversity included some of the largest freshwater turtles ever known. Among them was the Stupendimus, a colossal turtle with a shell measuring up to 9.4 feet (2.86 meters) and over a ton in weight. Its massive, curved beak and bulky build likely made it an omnivorous "kaiju" of the waters, capable of crushing mollusks, fish, smaller crocs, or perhaps even larger prey.

Other notable reptiles included Cynamamus, a large, aggressive, carnivorous turtle, and the Gryosucus, a long-snouted, slender crocodyliform that probably fed on large fish and occasionally mammals. Such diversity ensured that every animal in Pabos was a potential prey or predator, creating a dynamic and often perilous environment.
