Rob Coons, who co-created D&D and specialized in early editions and lore, has been subjected to accusations of not knowing the current game or its player base—despite his direct involvement, lengthy career, and deep understanding of the franchise. Critics often dismiss his insights, claiming he's just an "old school" relic who can't adapt to the "modern" game.
