Measuring Effectiveness and Avoiding "Set and Forget"
AI is not a one-and-done solution. Ongoing monitoring and refinement are necessary. A key point is that AI can expose what isn't working within existing systems, allowing organizations to identify and fix bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Conversely, if inputs are poorly defined or processes are non-measurable, AI will only compound the chaos.
For example, in sales and marketing, tracking the journey of prospects— from initial contact to conversion—can reveal leakages and areas for improvement. Similar principles apply in recruiting: understanding how many resumes lead to interviews, how many interviews lead to offers, and how many new hires prove to be successful fits.
