Part 10/13:
Politically, the aging of the boomers signals a major turnover. Currently, a large portion of Congress and top government officials are boomers or older. Many of these leaders are approaching retirement, leaving vacant seats that will be fiercely contested by younger politicians, mostly Millennials and Gen Z.
This influx of younger lawmakers brings radically different priorities—more focus on climate change, economic equity, immigration reform, and skepticism of military interventions. They often challenge traditional institutions and party establishments, hinting at a possible realignment of political power and policies. The upcoming generation may radically reshape governance and societal norms.
