On his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump did not shy away from publicly denouncing Pro. He claimed that the Colombian leader was actively encouraging the production and export of narcotics into the United States. “President Gustavo Pro of Colombia is an illegal drug leader strongly encouraging the massive production of drugs,” Trump asserted. He further declared that, effective immediately, “these payments or any other form of payment or subsidies will no longer be made to Colombia.”
