The Ubiquity of Surveillance
Surveillance technology has advanced exponentially. Satellites can spot movement from space, and modern sensors can monitor remote areas for signs of human activity. Law enforcement and other agencies possess the tools to track fugitives or missing persons across vast terrains. The story of a fugitive living undetected is increasingly rare; most are eventually found because there are just too many eyes—drones, satellites, and nationwide databases—keeping tabs on activity.
