Recently, Elon Musk and Donald Trump appeared to be softening their feud. Trump publicly wished Musk well, and Musk reciprocated with a simple "Likewise." Musk has also been deleting some of his earlier posts about Trump, notably the posts claiming Trump was involved in Epstein’s files and his conditional statement about apologizing if those files were released. These changes suggest Musk may be seeking reconciliation after a period of heated exchanges, particularly as Trump made inaccurate defamatory remarks about Musk.
