Part 1/12:
The Chinese Communist Party's Intensified War on Christianity
An Escalating Crackdown
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been steadily suppressing religious freedoms in China, and recent events signal a dramatic escalation. Last week, authorities launched a large-scale crackdown on Christians, arresting nearly 30 pastors and church workers, including Ezra Jyn, the founder and pastor of Zion Church. Since October 9th, these individuals have vanished into police custody, often losing contact with their families. Although Zion Church was officially shut down in 2018, it continued operating covertly—including online—highlighting the resilience of Chinese believers under pressure.
