Dynamic Activation of Experts for Context-Aware Driving
The real ingenuity of Tesla’s approach lies in selectively activating these specialized experts. When the vehicle encounters varied scenarios—rain, snow, traffic congestion, construction zones—it dynamically weighs the influence of each expert.
For example, approaching a city intersection activates an urban driving expert. If it begins to snow, a weather-specific expert is activated to modify acceleration and braking behavior accordingly. When entering a parking lot, pedestrian detection and parking spot identification experts take precedence.
