Despite the progress, several persistent issues remain, particularly with the latest 13.2.2 update. One recurring problem is FSD erroneously running red lights, especially when the vehicle is already stopped at a red signal. This indicates ongoing challenges in reliably reading traffic signals and interpreting signage.
Additionally, the system occasionally makes unsafe lane changes—such as crossing into oncoming traffic lanes during intersection turns—and struggles with S-turns, especially on winding roads. These issues are often exacerbated when there are no other vehicles around, implying that FSD relies heavily on contextual cues from nearby cars to operate securely.
